Ottawa Fun

Tuesday, February 2, 2010

This past weekend I was headed to Ottawa to shoot Bryan & Andrea's reception... and so we decided to make a family weekend out of it! We left Friday afternoon and got there late... ready to spend the day on Saturday doing nothing but swimming and hanging out at the hotel. Saturday night I went to the reception - amazing! - and Mark and the girls watched movies. Sunday we took every one's advice and went to the Museum of Civilization. Loved it! And then Monday we went to the Rideau Canal.... something I've always wanted to do! A fun weekend getaway!

Jefferson hotel tradition... jump on the beds!

Loving the totem poles at the museum!

Eden's favourite part of the museum was the kitchen in the children's museum part.

Madi loved dressing up in the traditional clothes from all the different countries

And on to the canal! We forgot out skates (doh!) and thought we would rent... but they were out of kids skates! We had fun sliding around on our feet instead.

Mmmmm.... Beavertails.

What? I even made it into one picture!

Now we're working on thawing out after a COLD weekend - but lots of fun!

Celebrating life and love,

Krista

    Hey Krista!

Looks so cozy. (Personally, I'd love some more snow in the Philly area -- the pre-Christmas blizzard we had was amazing, if not a bit ill-timed.)

What the heck are Beavertails? And are you still going to be in the Philly area this spring? I'd love to meet up!
